Friendship Day..?
Before you set out to celebrate and wish your dear friends, Happy Friendship Day, know that in the first stance, there is nothing like celebrating such days in Islam. Infact it is not permissible to imitate Kuffar in any way, so a true believer will never follow their ways, bi'iznillaah !
But have you ever pondered upon these Aayaat about the 2 MAIN REGRETS A MAN will have on the DAY OF JUDGEMENT of NOT following the path of GUIDANCE and BEFRIENDING a person who DIVERTED one from the TRUTH! May Allaah Save us all!
"Close friends, that Day will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous."
(Quran 43;67)
"And the day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands (in regret) he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way ." (Quran 25:27)
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan to man a deserter."(Quran: 25;28,29)
So follow the GOLDEN ADVICE of Rasoolullaah (SallAllaahu Alayhi wasallam) while selecting your friends!
The Prophet (Sall’Allahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend.” (Abu Dawud)
O Allah ! I ask You of Your love and the love of whoever loves You and the love of th e deed which will draw me in attaining Your love. Aameen .
