No matter how much a wife is angry with her husband, a single phrase of praise by her husband melts her. She becomes happy afterwards. Even if she is extremely angry, just ask her if she wants to go for shopping or an outing, she will immediately forget her feud with you. As opposed to her habit she gets ready in 5 minutes.

Once my(author's) wife got sick. She cooked Dalia for herself and for me she cooked whole meal consisting of roti etc. I, out of love told her that I too will eat Dallia
with her as it's not appropriate that she eats Dallia alone. My words were like magic. She forgot her sickness and quickly put out the dishes on dining and she was asking me will you too eat it? (As if she was not believing that I too will eat Dallia with her). After half an hour it seemed that she was never sick at all.

I felt ashamed with myself, I couldn't easily convince such an honourable creation of Allah, who forgets her anger in just a few minutes, solely because of some kind words.
I thought deeply to myself, how do we treat our womenfolk despite of her high education, talents etc.
She is the one who compromises and men are free from this.
She is the one who sacrifices and men are free from this.
Even in sickness she takes care of everyone and men are free from such responsibilites.
She takes care of guests and men are free from this.
Upbringing of children is only her responsibility and men are free from this.

When will we start being the real MEN?
When will we start following the messenger of Allah compelety?
We pick and choose while following the sunnah. We all know that the Prophet was best to his household. If we want to be his real follower then we should be good to our wives. Generally, we are very good to those who are our friends, our boss etc. but are not that good towards our family.
Let's change before it's too late.
